FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA (April 22, 2026) — Center City District (CCD) Sips returns this summer, beginning Wednesday, June 3 and continuing every Wednesday through August 26.
Each week from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the program provides an opportunity for connection in Center City as dozens of local restaurants and bars invite Philadelphia workers and residents to an after-work experience that encourages people to explore new spaces, relax with colleagues and friends, and support local businesses during the summer months.
Participating locations will serve $8 cocktails, including specials made with Hornitos® Tequila, $7 wine, including selections from Kim Crawford, $6 beer, and appetizers under $10. For the first time, mocktails will be offered for just $6 at all locations. Some restaurants will offer 15% off dinner after 7 p.m. Visit ccdsips.com for the full list of participants.
Since launching in 2004, CCD Sips has remained a consistent part of Center City’s summertime ritual, helping drive visitation and sales to businesses during a slower season and allowing people to strengthen their connections after the workday ends.
"For more than two decades, CCD Sips has been woven into Center City's summer rhythm — a weekly invitation to stay after work, explore a new bar or restaurant, and make the kinds of connections that only happen when you stay a little longer," Center City District President & CEO Prema Katari Gupta said.
Dilworth Park’s new outdoor bar and restaurant, The Patio, will host the official CCD Sips preview event on Wednesday, May 27 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with free admission for guests 21 and older. Attendees will have a first look at the newly expanded space, located just steps from historic City Hall.
The preview, featuring live DJ entertainment, will highlight The Patio’s CCD Sips menu for the summer, which includes $8 Hornitos® Tequila cocktails, $7 Kim Crawford wine, $6 Truly Hard Seltzers and Sam Adams beer, $6 mocktails, and discounted appetizers. Sips at The Patio will continue every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting June 3 through August 26.
