What is the Center City District?

The CCD is a business improvement district established in March 1990 under Pennsylvania’s Municipality Authorities Act as a private-sector directed municipal authority. It provides supplemental security, cleaning, and promotional services that enhance, but do not replace Philadelphia’s basic city services.

What geographic area does the Center City District cover?

The CCD encompasses 230 blocks in downtown Philadelphia. Our interactive map shows the district’s boundaries and lets you search whether your address falls within our coverage area.

When does your on-street team clean and patrol Center City?

Our uniformed cleaners, community service representatives (CSRs) and bike patrol officers operate 7 days a week, 364 days a year.

Does CCD have a homeless outreach team?

Yes, the CCD has a specially trained team to build trust with people experiencing homelessness and connect them with housing, medical care, and emergency shelter.

Which parks does CCD manage?

The CCD manages four parks: Dilworth, Sister Cities, Cret and John F. Collins.

When are the fountains turned on in CCD managed parks?

The fountains are operate from April through October. Specific dates vary.

When does the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink open in Dilworth Park?

The rink is open from mid-November until late February. Specific dates vary.

Can I host my event at a CCD managed park?

CCD parks offer a variety of rental opportunities including festivals, galas, brand promotions, corporate events, and private events. Contact us for more information.
