Car-Free Streets for Five Tuesday Evenings this Summer

Center City District (CCD), with support from the Midtown Village Merchants Association and the City of Philadelphia, continues its popular street closure program with Open Streets: Midtown Village, introducing for the fist time a weekday evening format designed to capture the energy of summer in Center City. During these closures, pedestrians will be invited to stroll five blocks of car-free space while enjoying expanded outdoor dining and local shopping. Visitors can enjoy ambient and strolling entertainment throughout the evening, including musicians, live artists, and Double Dutch lessons. CCD will also provide additional seating and activities like ping-pong and miniature golf. 

Dates: Tuesdays, June 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30
Time: 4-9 p.m.
Location: 13th Street from Chestnut to Walnut, Sansom Street from 12th to Juniper and Drury Street
