Shop Center City Saturdays Return in Support of Philadelphia Retailers

5 weeks of exclusive discounts, giveaways and featured events!

PHILADELPHIA (September 2, 2021) – To support the recovery of Center City retailers and restaurants, Center City District (CCD) will be promoting  Shop Center City Saturdays this fall. Beginning Saturday, September 18, dozens of local businesses, as well as national brands, will offer exclusive discounts and giveaways every Saturday for 5 weeks, ending on October 16. These all-day shopping and dining promotions will be accompanied by weekly larger-scale anchor events throughout the district.

Philadelphia residents, workers and visitors will find curated in-store events at many locations, like one-day-only discounts and sidewalk sales. Offerings will vary from week to week, providing a unique experience for returning shoppers, built around major anchor events. The schedule for anchor events includes:

September 18:

  • Center City District Restaurant Week

           Prix-fixe three-course dinners for $40, plus $25 lunches at over 60 Center City restaurants.

  • Arts Launch 2021: A Return to In-Person Arts at the Kimmel Center

           (Kimmel Center, 300 S. Broad St. | 11 a.m.-4 p.m., https://www.kimmelculturalcampus.org/events-and-tickets/events/arts-launch-             2021/)   

           Diverse sampling of free, live performances and fun activities, including their own world-renowned Resident Companies.

  • Primark Grand Opening Weekend

           Celebrate the grand opening of Fashion District’s newest retailer!

September 25:

  • Reading Terminal Market Fall Festival

            Explore food and beverage specials, take a photo at the iconic neon sign with scarecrow stilt walkers, participate in free arts              and crafts in partnership with the Fabric Workshop and Museum and support over 70 small, family-owned businesses.  

October 9
 

  • Harvest Weekend at Dilworth Park

          Hay bales, cornstalks and pumpkins aplenty – this 3-day experience embraces the best elements of autumn for visitors of all             ages.  
 

October 16
 

  • Rittenhouse Row’s Dogs Rule Day presented by Republic Bank

            (18th and Walnut | 11 a.m.-2 p.m., rittenhouserow.org)

            Visit ACCT Philadelphia’s dog adoption station on 18th and Walnut, plus on-site raffles, a canine costume contest and                          giveaways!
 

  • Fire & Ice in Jewelers’ Row District
