Developments Momentum & Challenges

On September 28, 2021 CPDC hosted an in-person panel discussion at the Union League about real estate industry trends, as highlighted in CPDC’s just released, annual Developments report. The Union League required that everyone have proof of vaccination on hand and all attendees really appreciated the opportunity to catch up at the first full, in-person CPDC meeting in 19 months.

Paul R. Levy presented a brief summary  of Center City Philadelphia Developments 2021. The panel included Leo Addimando, Managing Partner, Alterra Property Group, Jeffrey DeVuono, Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director, Pennsylvania, Brandywine Realty Trust, Paige Jaffe, Managing Director, JLL and Clayton Mitchell, Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Facilities, Thomas Jefferson University. Panelists provided overviews of projects and highlighted the trends affecting their sector. They made recommendations how to expand job growth, improve public safety, support the return to office and sustain demand for housing and retail. Additionally, Paul Levy shared the Philly Works office attraction efforts CPDC has in progress.

Below is a visual recording of the meeting and the panel's presentations.
