September’s Center City District Restaurant Week
Presented By TD Bank Now Two Weeks; Lunch Added

PHILADELPHIA (July 17, 2009)— One would think it difficult to improve upon the success that has been Center City District Restaurant Week presented by TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, but improve, we will. For the fall 2009 edition, diners will once again be able to enjoy some of the city’s best cuisine at just $35 for three sumptuous courses (not including tax, gratuity or alcohol) for two weeks- September 13-18 & 20-25, 2009. In addition, many of the participating restaurants will also be offering a three-course lunch for $20, over the two-week run. There is no such thing as a free lunch, but you can get one at a great price at some of Center City’s best restaurants.

Organized by the Center City District and Rittenhouse Row as a way to highlight Center City’s vast selection of established and new restaurants, the event affords diners the opportunity to try restaurants they haven’t before. Center City District Restaurant Week presented by TD Bank also offers patrons an incredible value, requiring each establishment’s three-course menu to have a check value of $55 or more. Some participants have even added a fourth course, all for $35. For the three-course lunch portion of the promotion, the value point is $25-30.

The fall roster of 113 restaurants includes such newcomers to Restaurant Week as Azalea Restaurant, Bistro La Viola, Bleu Martini, Chifa, Fadó Irish Pub, Four Seasons Hotel - Swann Cafe, La Viola West Restaurant, Ladder 15, Noble American Cookery, Panini's Trattoria, Porcini, Sakeya Japanese Restaurant, Smokin' Betty's, Supper Restaurant, Thirteen Restaurant at the Marriott and Varga Bar.

Now- how do you ensure a lunch or dinner seating? How are you supposed to know who’s serving what? The Center City District makes it simple for you to make your reservations, with a complete list of participating restaurants and menus on their Web site, at CenterCityPhila.org/RestaurantWeek. There, you can even take advantage of online reservations through OpenTable.com. Things tend to book up quickly, so make sure that you get there early. But don’t worry, with so many great restaurants from which to choose, there is no way that you will go home dissatisfied.

The Philadelphia Parking Association and Philadelphia Parking Authority work together during Center City District Restaurant Week presented by TD Bank to offer parking at a deep discount of $9 or less at dozens of lots and garages all over Center City. All you have to do is present a voucher from a participating restaurant from 5 p.m. -1 a.m. Participating parking facilities will be identified with a Center City District Restaurant Week presented by TD Bank poster at their entrance.

Restaurant Week’s presenting sponsor, TD Bank, is taking the opportunity to offer a spectacular contest, Experience the Flavor of the City On Us. The “Enter to Win" contest will kick off July 17 and run until August 16. The public will have a chance to win $2000 in Center City restaurant gift certificates. Individuals can enter by filling out an entry form at any TD Bank stores in Bucks, Burlington, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. The winner will be announced at the Center City District Restaurant Week presented by TD Bank Tasting on August 20 at TD Bank’s 19th and Market store in Center City.

Of course, as always, the Center City District is also holding a great contest. At the end of their meal, all diners will receive an entry form for the Center City District Restaurant Week presented by TD Bank Grand Prize Contest. The prize? Dinner for a year - fifty-two $50 gift certificates at Restaurant Week participating restaurants. That’s a lot of dinners. People can also enter to win online, at CenterCityPhila.org, or by picking up an entry form at 660 Chestnut Street, Monday-Friday, between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
