CCD Cultural Showcase kicks off this Friday

CCD Cultural Showcase
This Friday stop by the Shops at Liberty Place from noon-1:30pm for CCD’s Cultural Showcase, featuring the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the National Constitution Center. Show off your knowledge of U.S. presidents to win prizes, or try your hand at origami.

It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World! on the Schuylkill Banks

Tomorrow night the summer film series, Laughter on the Banks, ends their season with the 1963 classic comedy, It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World!  Show starts at approximately 8:15pm.

Schuylkill Banks is accessible from the Walnut, Chestnut, and Market Street Bridges, and from at-grade crossings at Locust and Race Streets. For a map and parking directions, visit www.schuylkillbanks.org.

Free snacks and drinks will be provided by the Schuylkill River Development Corporation. In the hour leading up to each film, moviegoers can also enter for the chance to win a free goodie bag full of products donated by IKEA!

Art Deco Center City

Tonight enjoy the gorgeous weather with a guided architecture tour of Art Deco Center City. The tour begins at 6pm at the entrance to Liberty Place, 17th & Chestnut Sts.

The Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks offers a variety of tours throughout the season. For a complete schedule visit www.philalandmarks.org

Tours last approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours and are conducted rain or shine. Admission is $10/person for adults, $8/person for students with current ID, and free for children 10 and under and accompanied by an adult. Admission may be purchased from your guide at the designated meeting place. Reservations are not required.

City Hall Film Series is showing Unbreakable tonight

Tonight, head to City Hall courtyard, to see Unbreakable as part of the City Hall Film Series. All films are FREE and open to the public. They begin at approximately 8:30pm. No alcohol or pets are allowed. Invincible will be the final film shown in this series on August 29.
