Frequently Asked Questions

Are there rain dates?

These events are rain or shine. CCD reserves the right to cancel at any time in the event of severe weather. For event updates, follow up on Instagram.

Will restrooms be available?

Public restrooms will not be available.

How can I get around during Open Streets?

Street closures will go into effect by 2 p.m. and the streets effected will open back up by 10 p.m. Drivers may be temporarily rerouted because of the street closures.
Parking will not be provided; however nearby parking garages will be open and available.
No buses have been detoured. Center City District requests that all cyclists walk their bikes in the event area. Please note, the bike lane on 13th Street will be closed from Walnut to Chestnut.

Are these events wheelchair accessible?

Yes, these events are wheelchair accessible.

Will food and drinks be sold on the street?

No. There will not be supplemental food or beverage vendors on the street. Open containers of alcohol will not be sold and are strictly prohibited. All food and beverage sales will take place at restaurants located within the boundaries of the event.

How can my business get involved?

Stores & Restaurants: Businesses located along the designated route can have a presence during Open Streets: Midtown Village. Surrounding businesses are free to offer special incentives, sales or in-store happenings on the same days as Open Streets: Midtown Village. Any businesses along the route that would like to participate, or surrounding businesses that would like to submit their in-store plans, can contact Giavana Suraci Pruiti at shop@centercityphila.org to learn more.

Can I participate as a performer?

Performers for Open Streets have already been secured. For future inquiries, interested applicants should email info@centercityphila.org.
